Ideias em Diálogo - Biomonitoring: what it and can it be accessible to all?
Linda Geiser is the Air Resource Management National Program Leader, at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's - Forest Service in Washington, D.C. She is also a Courtesy Faculty at Oregon State University, in Corvallis, United States.
She is a prominent ecologist of the US Forest Service, recognized for her expertise in biomonitoring and environmental health. She has dedicated her career to improving our understanding of air quality and its effects on the integrity of ecosystems and has been a leading figure in the use of lichens as bioindicators of pollution. Her work has been instrumental in monitoring environmental change, protecting biodiversity, and providing scientific insights that guide conservation policies and forest management practicesin the US. In the course of her work, she has published more than 80 papers, including scientific articles, books and book chapters.
