The AgroecoDecipher project aims primarily to reconstruct agroecological patterns in Portugal by digitising and analysing historical agricultural sources (19th–20th centuries), integrating artificial intelligence techniques, optical character recognition (OCR), GIS, and machine learning.

By cross-referencing textual and cartographic information, the project proposes an innovative approach to identify land use dynamics and contribute to the development of sustainable land management strategies in the context of climate change.
