The project "Global Second-Hand Clothing Sales Circuits: Sustainability, Greenwashing, and Circular Economy (GreenCCircuit)" has received approval for funding.
As part of the 1st Call for Projects and Initiatives for Triangular Cooperation between Ibero-America and the Portuguese-speaking African Countries, the project "Global Second-Hand Clothing Sales Circuits: Sustainability, Greenwashing, and Circular Economy (GreenCCircuit)" has been approved for funding.
Coordinated by Professor Pedro Guimarães from the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, the project brings together researchers from the Centre for Geographical Studies (CEG/IGOT-ULisboa), Eduardo Mondlane University (Mozambique), and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Mexico).
The project aims to contribute to education for development in the context of the circular economy within the textile and clothing sector in Ibero-America, specifically in Mozambique and Mexico.
The ceremony for presenting the winning projects and signing the memoranda between the winning entities and Instituto Camões and SEGIB took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on July 16, 2024, with the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Paulo Rangel.
