Three researchers from CEG/IGOT-ULisboa in the World’s Top 2% Scientists List
The Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning (IGOT-ULisboa) and the Centre of Geographical Studies (CEG) are proud to have three faculty members/researchers listed in the Top 2% of the most cited scientists worldwide in 2023, within their respective fields of research, according to the latest edition of the “World's Top 2% Scientists List,” published by Stanford University (USA), in collaboration with the Elsevier publishing group.
The CEG/IGOT-ULisboa researchers included in this prestigious list are José Luís Zêzere, Agustín Cocola-Gant, and César Capinha, recognised for the significant impact of their research in the areas of applied geomorphology and risk assessment, tourism and gentrification, and biogeography, respectively.
The "World’s Top 2% Scientists List" comprises more than 100,000 researchers, distributed across 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields. This distinction not only highlights the importance of the research conducted at CEG/IGOT-ULisboa but also acknowledges the contribution of its faculty and researchers to the advancement of scientific knowledge in their areas of expertise.
