The Photo Library of CEG is a partner of the National Museum of Resistance and Freedom - Peniche Fortress
The Photo Library of the Center for Geographic Studies (CEG) is a partner entity of the new long-term exhibition at the National Museum of Resistance and Freedom (MNRL), dedicated to the history and memory of the struggle against dictatorship.
This exhibition, titled "Resistance and Freedom," was scheduled as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the April 25th revolution. For this purpose, the MNRL and the CEG Photographic Library selected two photographs by Orlando Ribeiro from the 1940s and 1950s, depicting the working conditions of African populations in Guinea and São Tomé in the context of late colonialism.
This exhibition was inaugurated at the Peniche Fortress on April 27, 2024.
