On July 11, the eMOTIONAL Cities project had a session where initial scientific results were presented. The presentation, titled “eMOTIONAL Cities: Planning and Design to Foster Mental Health and Well-Being in Our Cities and Citizens,” included an introduction and overview by Paulo Morgado (co-authored with Ana Bonifácio), followed by results presented by the other consortium partners. The project's goal is to understand how citizens interact with their real environment and make decisions, leading to more inclusive urban design and better individual health and well-being.
On July 9, Nuno Marques da Costa participated in a round table titled "Sustainable Land-Use and Mobility Policies and Practices in Urban Regions," associated with the SLUMP project of the UNITE network.
Also on that day, Diogo Gaspar Silva presented the paper “On the Trail of a Policy: Rendering Business Improvement Districts Mobile and Experimented in Southern European Cities,” arguing for caution in equating the presence and future circulation of urban policies solely based on more neoliberal planning contexts, cultures, or political-institutional infrastructures.
On July 11, André Alves presented the paper "Agrivoltaics in the European Energy Transition: Policy Recommendations," co-authored with Igor Sirnik (Wageningen University) and Eduarda Marques da Costa.
